Lee Hi's "한숨 (Breathe)" M/V Review

I'm baaaaaack. I busy with studying for an exam since it's midterms. And along with my return was Lee Hi's comeback. What a pleasant coincidence ^^. I first watched "Hold My Hand," which I thought was cute. But "한숨 (Breathe)"....oh...my...word. She managed to bring tears out of me in just 4 minutes and 54 seconds. I did not notice until the end the music video that my heart was aching. And Jonghyun really knows how to compose some music. He should in the direction of a solo artist composing his own music more often....I'll tell ya, it takes a lot for a music video to bring emotion out of me like that.
I absolutely cannot forget the visuals in the music video itself. The camera shots going over Seoul looked beautiful. If I had the money and time, right after watching this music video, I would have booked the next flight to Seoul. The whole video can be an tourist advertisement to visit Seoul, but then again, that would take the spotlight away from Lee Hi...But then again, the advertisement can tell you to go to a Lee Hi concert while in Seoul ^^. In any case, if you did not get a chance to watch "(한숨) Breath," you can check it out below!

G.Na Caught In The Middle of Recent Scandal

It has not been officially confirmed that she's in the middle of the scandal, but too many clues are pointed to her in this recent prostitution scandal:
  1. 29 years old
  2. Music contract expired on March 1st
  3. Solo artist
  4. Debuted in 2010
Source

My question is if this has been happening for a while, why does this news come out around the time G.NA's contract expired? Did Cube Entertainment already know about this and decided to disassociate themselves from G.NA in time? There are some people who are being a bit too harsh on her about this. We do not know what's going on in her personal life for her to go this far. She may have her reasons. People who go into prostitution usually have no other choice and the amount of money they earn doing it greatly outweighs what they could be earning with a regular job that does not require higher education. Maybe Cube Entertainment was not paying her enough while she was in the dungeon.

And let's get another thing straight: prostitution is ONLY legal in a limited amount of counties in Nevada. It is illegal in the other 49 states. So, no, it was most likely not the Korean authorities who are investigating this prostitution ring, but the American authorities. Prostitution is illegal in Los Angeles, where G.NA was arrested, and the rest of the state. I doubt the Korean jurisdiction has that much reach across the Pacific over their citizens.

G.NA's career cannot be salvaged after this. The Korean media will drag her through the mud over this. There is no coming back. I just hope all her friends and family will shield her from the rest of this mess that may soon to come.

Indonesian EXO-L's Were Sexually Harassed At A Concert?

EXO held a concert in Jakarta, Indonesia for their EXOplanet #2 World Tour on February 27, 2016. The concert promoter, Mecimapro, was responsible for the security check that made the EXO-Ls feel very uncomfortable. Below is a list of rules that was supposedly the "reason" for the body check at security.

Now, some of the rules are a bit extreme like no photography and videography (OK,  I get it, in a way you should be more focused on enjoying the concert for yourself, but some people love capturing the moment), but the rest of them are acceptable.  However, at security check, the guards went overboard while body-checking the fans. Below is a complaint from one EXO-L who felt violated:

"Hopefully @mecimapro can be better. I'm still traumatized at @pelopor_guard security while they do body checking groping my 'vital' part."
In another Tweet, she went on:
"My v is groped by a female security guard at 7th hall gate, i'm wearing skinny jeans, it'd be visible if i was hiding anything (underneath)"
"I was very shocked, i can't think during the body check, they groped me twice on my v!"

V=private area between her legs

Another EXO-L screenshot and tweeted a conversation she had about the whole violation:

Tweet: "I'm too lazy to type so i captured this. This roughly what happened yesterday. I'm afraid. Traumatized.. My mother is very angry."
Screenshot:
- I don't like how they check me to my private area. to me it's a harassment even though it's done by another female
- The front of my bra is pulled so my boobs spilled out of my bra
- And there were many male guards looking (at me)
- Plus I'm wearing short skirt. my crotch was groped and pressed
- I was mad, struggling and crying. I was shaking. I was never treated with such obscene by anyone. while I was crying this male security said to me
- "Shut up, be glad it's done by female, not me
- that moment I'm about to throw fits but my knees were weak due to that body check

WHAT. THE. F***!?!?

But, wait, there's more! Someone tweeted a screenshot of a groupchat between Tike Priatnakusumah (CEO of Mecimapro), Ima (promoter's staff), and another unknown staff member. Apparently, Tike openly expressed regret for what happened to the EXO-Ls, however, this shows he honestly doesn't give a s***.

Ima : Please eat
Tike Priatnakusumah : Go get some rest, it's a sign that you're a human dear not super hero... but you are a super hero for those ungrateful koreaboos
Ima : Even if you're stressed, force yourself to eat. don't delay your meals.
Tike Priatnakusumah: We're about to get to our finish line, then we go on victory lap around ICE (venue) field
Staff : I haven't eat since morning
Tike Priatnakusumah: please eat, don't dance around (joking)

More on THG: Jimin's "야 하고 싶어" (feat. Xiumin) M/V Review

This is honestly disgusting to read. To pay probably a lot of money to only get sexually harassed...forget sexually harassed, that was sexual ASSAULT. And I don't care if a woman was doing the body check. Those fans felt uncomfortable with it and that's what matters. If I had been one of those girls, I would have made it so whoever was doing a body check like that eat their food through a straw.
Also, SM Entertainment isn't to blame here. I'm sure they were not privy to what the security check had planned, or else, SME would not have hired them in the first place. The only thing I can think of that SM Entertainment can do in this situation is to fire Mecimapro and make their bad reputation public. I am really sorry to have read this about these girls and I hope they get compensated in some way.

Jimin's "야 하고 싶어" (feat. Xiumin) M/V Review

By far one of the dopest duos I've seen in KPop so far. The music video was aegyo without overdoing to the point I want to vomit. It's one of those music videos that lift your mood if you are having a bad day. I loved how this duo went well together like peanut butter and jelly. I loved Jimin's pink beret-pigtail combination, it made her look so cute. Another thing that was cute was her rapping. Who would have thought rapping could be cute?
If you were wondering how much potential Xiumin's singing has, this music video was a great way to find out. And I must admit, his singing was a lot better than I'd thought it would be. You can't really tell when he's singing with 7+ other voices or more in EXO...and how could I forget?!?! THOSE EMOJIS. Those different emojis in the music video was probably my favorite part of the whole music video. If I'm not wrong, I think they had just about every emoji face in the music video. If you missed out on the non-overloading aegyo, you can check it out below!

Jessica vs. Tiffany vs. Taeyeon vs. Yuri

With March upon us, it looks like three SNSD members and a former may be releasing a solo album this month. Jessica, Taeyeon and Tiffany are confirmed to be releasing solo albums this month. It has been rumored here and there, but not confirmed that Yuri will be releasing a solo album as well. It should come as no surprise that Jessica is releasing new music after filming herself in the studio.

A video posted by Jessica Jung (@jessica.syj) on

I am actually really excited for this "solo showdown." Here's a way of how I hope it will turn out for these four ladies:

Jessica: When she was part of Girls' Generation, she was actually my bias. When I found out she was no longer a member, it hit me really hard and I wondered what will become of her afterwards. I hope that her album will do better out of the four just because of that. No hate towards Tiffany, Taeyeon, and Yuri (I actually really like them). The success of her solo album would be rubbing it in SM Entertainment's face.

Yuri:  Ever since Jessica left, Yuri has become my bias, so I automatically hope she does well after Jessica. I've seen some haters on the Internet saying Yuri can't sing or even questioning the idea of her own solo album. If Yuri couldn't sing, I doubt she would be part of SM Entertainment. I also believe she deserves a spotlight (besides "Neighborhood Hero") because, to me, she's the underdog of SNSD. But then again, that's just me.

Tiffany: I put Fany third because she already had enough exposure with TTS and other endorsements. The girl can sing, I'll give her that. I just want Jessica or Yuri to have as much of a chance musically.

Taeyeon:....she's practially the Beyonce of KPop, need I say more? She has also been doing way too much recently, so, she should take time off for herself.

Here's how it will most likely turn out:

Taeyeon: Like I said, she's the Beyonce of KPop. She will most likely crush the charts compared to the other three.

Jessica: People will be anticipating Jessica's solo album since it will be her first after she left SNSD. Just that simple anticipation alone can help her album do well. Plus if you heard her cover of Sara Bareilles' "Gravity," you would understand why her album may do well.

Tiffany: She has a lot of fans of her own, so her album WILL do well. Also, like I said, she can sing.

Yuri: As I stated before, Yuri has some haters who are biased towards her singing. Some people may not pay attention to her album just because they think she cannot sing. That's unfair, but I hope they give her a chance.

What do you think: whose solo album will slay all the others?

CLC's High Heel (Short Ver.) M/V Review

People on the Internet were saying "oh, CLC's new music video is going to snatch your weave out" or "prepare to get slayed by CLC's new music video."There was so much hype for this music video everywhere. So I watched it and did not understand the hype. The music video is was so....so basic. There was nothing interesting about it. I felt like so many other kpop girl groups have made similar music videos before. There was no type of story line or choreography. It's just a pan in, pan out,, aegyo-choreography.
However, I will give CLC and Cube the biggest "benefit of the doubt" ever. This is the short version, so most likely there is going to be a longer, completed version soon. Also, they are still kind of, sort of, a rookie group, so Cube Entertainment is not going to pour buckets of cash into their music video production like they do with 4Minute. The longer version will matter a lot more for their comeback, so we will have to see.
Cube honestly needs to get it together. CLC actually has potential and it just seemed like they slopped anything together while Eunbin is in Produce 101. They could have waited, but I guess they were desperate to make a buck.  I just hope they get to top the charts on a GFriend level someday. Anyways, if you didn't see their music video, you can check it out below.
